Chateau Latour wrote history, The building states its first mentioning in a document dating back to 1331, in which the lord, Gaucelme de Castillon, gives permission to build a fortress tower to defend the region during the Hundred Years War. Three hundred years later, the estate fell into the hands of Alexandre de Segur, which was awarded by King Louis XV with the title “Prince of wine”. The Chateau Latour went through many hands and families, in the 20th century the estate belonged to the British until it finally returned to French ownership. The Segur family finally received shares of 7%.
